Elemental / Matter Acknowledgement for the 24th annual WaterHCI (de)conference

9:30am Elemental / Matter Acknowledgement:

We would like to respectfully acknowledge the Land (Earth), and more generally, the matter in all of its states-of-matter (“Elements”), e.g. Earth (solid), Water (liquid), Air (gas), and Fire (plasma), at Ontario Place, irrespective of when the Land/Earth/property was “built”. This space is the traditional space of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is also home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Metis peoples We pay respect to their elders, past, present, and future, who have been and will continue to be stewards of matter (e.g. land, water, air, fire, etc.) here.
